Brain Frequency™ Treatment
Helping clients with substance use disorder reach lasting sobriety, with marked improvement measured across 1,468 assessments.
The Only Center With Access to Brain Frequency™
Windmill Wellness Ranch is unlike any other treatment center in that we are the only facility that has access to the innovative Brain Frequency technology, on our 75-acre ranch in Canyon Lake, midway between Austin and San Antonio.
The Brain Frequency™ system is an alternative to medications that has helped countless individuals suffering with substance use disorder achieve lasting sobriety. We know this sounds too good to be true, but it is not. We have seen it, and it works.
We believe that transformation in recovery involves both individualized treatment of the brain and treatment for the mind and spirit. Every client can opt to add Brain Frequency™ treatments to their plan through the Brain Frequency Center, at a cost separate from treatment.
How Brain Frequency™ Works, Explained
A short look at the technology and howit is different from medication-led approaches.
What Neuromodulation Actually Does
Brain Frequency™ induces neuromodulation. Neuromodulation is the process of resetting the brain frequency to the same rate in all functional areas of the brain.
An electroencephalogram (EEG) measures the electrical patterns of the brain. These patterns reflect cortical activity and are commonly known as brainwaves. We use quantitative EEG (q-EEG), also referred to as brain mapping, together with an electrocardiogram (EKG), which maps the electrical activity of the heart, to further understand an individual’s brain activity.
What a q-EEG Brain Map Measures
An EEG reflects the current metabolic and attention state of the brain, changing according to consciousness, alertness, and neurological state. Obtaining an EEG recording is painless and non-invasive, and takes about 20 minutes.
As every EEG is unique and tied to the individual, we are able to customize our approach to therapy with the goal of delivering the best results. That fits how we build every plan, which you can read more about in our holistic approach.
What We See in the Brain Maps of Clients With Addiction
We are seeing a trend in the EEGs of clients with addiction and alcoholism. The EEG leads in FP1, the attention area of the brain, and FP2, judgment and the restraint of impulses, have little or no wave activity. We have had incredible results treating these areas on chronic addiction clients.
Who Can Benefit
People with any of the below conditions can benefit from Brain Frequency treatments. Note that we will serve those with a mental health condition only (no co-occurring substance use) on an outpatient basis.

What the Results Show
Brain Frequency™ tracks progress with the same measures used to set the baseline, so improvement is something you can see rather than something you are asked to take on faith.
